The 2022 Annual Hurricane Season Conference which supports hurricane preparedness efforts in the Americas region, takes place from June 7 to June 9, 2022. The conference, which is organised by the International Federation’s Regional Office for the Americas (IFRC) will once again take the form of a virtual conference. The 2022 edition of the event will focus on localization, coordination, and preparation.
The Annual Hurricane Season Conference 2022
The 2022 conference will review the 2021 hurricane season and the management of tropical storms in the face of COVID-19. They agenda will also address some of the high-priority preparedness and response issues which could impact the 2022 season. Additionally, there will be a review of the two emergency calls in 2022. These were the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the earthquake in Haiti.

It is a forum where people from communities throughout the countries in the Americas can learn from each other’s experiences.
