The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) has announced that registration for the 2026 Texas Emergency Management Conference is open. The conference will take place at the Fort Worth Convention Center from 26 – 29 May 2026.
This three-and-a-half-day event is the premier gathering for Texas emergency management professionals. It will feature a wide range of workshops designed to advance education and share innovative ideas. It will also spotlight leading experts from across the Lone Star State and beyond. The conference will offer cutting-edge insights as well as valuable opportunities for collaboration and networking with key stakeholders.
Nim Kidd, Texas Emergency Management Chief commented on the event. ““The Texas Emergency Management Conference is where experience meets innovation. Every year, we bring together the best minds and most dedicated responders to strengthen our ability to protect lives and property.”
Texas A&M University System Chancellor Glenn Hegar noted that “the Texas Emergency Management Conference reflects what makes emergency management in Texas strong; dedicated professionals working together to protect our communities.”
Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parke, is “proud to welcome the Texas Emergency Management Conference back to Fort Worth for the fourth year in a row.” She also said, ““Hosting this meeting highlights our city’s commitment to preparedness and collaboration, and we look forward to welcoming emergency management professionals from across Texas to experience everything Fort Worth has to offer.”
The 2025 conference was a success and welcomed over 4,000 attendees. Attendees included first responders, emergency managers, elected officials, and jurisdictional leaders from across the nation.
2026 Texas Emergency Management Conference
This year’s conference will provide educational and networking opportunities. There will also be hands-on exposure to products and services that enhance disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. It will conclude with a celebratory concert honoring the dedication of emergency management professionals.
