TTDRM 2026 to Focus on Resilience

The 2026 edition of the Trinidad and Tobago Disaster Risk Management Conference & Expo (TTDRM 2026) will be held at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad. Registration for the 01 – 03 June 2026 event is open and disaster stakeholders are encouraged to apply. Target attendees include professionals from the private sector, public sector, NGOs and business chambers.

This year’s conference will focus on the theme “Resilience 360: Bridging Knowledge and Action.” Its vision is to:

  • Strengthen disaster risk governance
  • Promote stakeholder collaboration
  • Advocate for a “whole of society approach
  • Effect culture change

Objectives for TTDRM 2026 are:

1. To advocate for the integration of systemic risk analysis into disaster risk reduction (DRRM) strategies that support building national resilience and sustainable development;

2. To build awareness of regulatory framework and government policy that support DRRM, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, and the response required by public and private sectors;

3. To create the forum for weighing the benefits of strategic risk analysis, policy and planning together with the impact and cost of response and recovery;

4. To build awareness of the impact of disaster and climate related threats on the private sector with an emphasis on small and medium enterprise;

5. To strengthen partnerships and stakeholder collaboration by creating opportunities for cross sectoral dialogue, sharing information and aligning strategies.

Speakers

The list of speakers consists of a range of knowledgeable professionals who understand the importance of being ready for any natural disaster. Speakers include:

  • Major General (Ret) Rodney Smart: Former Chief of Defence Staff and CEO ODPM
  • Allan Stewart: Director, Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA)
  • Ronald Jackson: Head of Disaster Risk Reduction, Recovery and Resilience Building Team within the Crisis Bureau at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
  • Allan Stewart: Director, Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA)
  • Dr. Ronald Roopnarine: Deputy Dean for Outreach and Internationalization

Registration for the in-person conference is open. Standard VAT-exclusive passes are:

  • 1 Day: USD 370
  • 2 Days: USD 667
  • 3 Days: USD 963

Group discounts are also available. If you book 3 – 5 persons, there is a 5% discount. For 6 – 10 persons, the discount is 10%.
